Back To Back Funeral Prayers Of Slain Waseem At Pulwama | KNO

Waseem Ahmad, a Jaish-e-Muhammad militant and a resident of Drubgam in southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district, who was killed along with two Pakistani militants in the district was laid to rest in his ancestral village today on Tuesday. Local sources said that hundreds of people participated in his funeral prayers that was also attended by hundreds of women. They said that slain Waseem’s body was carried by mourners from his home to a local ground where his funeral prayers were held. Amid pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans Waseem was laid to rest, they said. Waseem and his two acomplices Talha and Mehmood were killed in a gunfight at Aglar village of the district on Monday evening. One army personnel was also killed in the gunfight. Talha, police said, is a nephew of Jaish chief Moulana Masood Azhar. An American M4 Carbine rifle and two AK-47 rifles were also recovered from the encounter site that lasted for a few hours.
